HCB Rehearsal Notes Tuesday Feb 24
Hi everyone,
As we are getting closer to concerts (we have three rehearsals left), please take a look at the following songs that we will be playing for this week’s rehearsal. These will be the concert pieces for Sunday, March 22nd (Hounds of Spring is a possibility – I will be deciding on Tuesday):
– Chorale warm up – Eagles – Hounds of Spring – Lyric Essay – March of the Trolls – Celtic Suite – Lion King – Northern Lights March (if time)
See you all Tuesday February 24th for our 6:30 rehearsal!

HCB Atlantic Festival of Music Staffing Opportunities
Hello everyone,
I am currently working on staffing for AFM 2026 and am wondering if you would be willing to spread the word to your community band members. We’re looking for people for the following positions:
– Adjudicator Secretary – Festival Host – Stage Crew
Rate of pay is $150/day
This is great way for folks who love band to spend a day listening to great bands from all over the country.
If you have anyone who is interested please ask them to contact me as soon as possible at steve@atlanticfestivals.com
Also, if anyone has a current email for Bob Bauer and could share it with me that would be great.

The cost of the t-shirts is subsidized by HCB – your portion of the cost is $20. This can be paid by cash in-person, or by e-Transfer treasurer@halifaxconcertband.ca

Halifax West Show Cancelled Feb 10

In the rehearsal notes, it was mentioned that there was a comedy show scheduled for the Bella Rose on Feb 10, and it would likely cause issues for parking at Halifax West. The comedy show is cancelled, but there is still a Halifax Concert Band rehearsal on Tuesday Feb 10, beginning at 6:30 pm.
