Hello everyone,
I am currently working on staffing for AFM 2026 and am wondering if you would be willing to spread the word to your community band members. We’re looking for people for the following positions:
– Adjudicator Secretary – Festival Host – Stage Crew
Rate of pay is $150/day
This is great way for folks who love band to spend a day listening to great bands from all over the country.
If you have anyone who is interested please ask them to contact me as soon as possible at steve@atlanticfestivals.com
Also, if anyone has a current email for Bob Bauer and could share it with me that would be great.

Hi everyone – if you’ve ordered a band shirt, they will be available on Tuesday night for pickup.
The cost of the t-shirts is subsidized by HCB – your portion of the cost is $20. This can be paid by cash in-person, or by e-Transfer treasurer@halifaxconcertband.ca
Please add ‘band shirt’ in the comment section of the e-transfer

I am getting things ready for our two concerts in March – March 22nd with the Chester Brass and March 24th with the High School – both at the Bella Rose Theatre. With that in mind, we will be playing the following songs for this week’s rehearsal – Tuesday, February 17th.
– Warm up (Chorales) – Northern Lights March – Celtic Suite – Lyric Essay – March of the Trolls – Lion King – Eagles on Tour – The Hounds of Spring

In the rehearsal notes, it was mentioned that there was a comedy show scheduled for the Bella Rose on Feb 10, and it would likely cause issues for parking at Halifax West. The comedy show is cancelled, but there is still a Halifax Concert Band rehearsal on Tuesday Feb 10, beginning at 6:30 pm.

A reminder of rehearsal next Tuesday, February 10th starting at 6:30. Please keep in mind that there is a concert at the Bella Rose Theatre happening during rehearsal, so parking will be difficult.
