Halifax Concert Band: Thanks and reminder of supper next Tuesday, Dec 11, 6:30 pm

Hi all,
I wanted to let you all know how pleased I was with the concert last night and that I thought the band sounded wonderful in that beautiful acoustic. It always feels rushed to get our Christmas program together but it came off so well and I received many complimentary comments from audience members after the concert. Thank you one and all for your music and for your commitment to the group and for your friendship. It’s a great club to belong to! Hope to see you all next week at the supper…6:30 pm at Steak and Stein, Young Street, Halifax, Tuesday Dec. 11. Guests are welcome.
Dave

Halifax Concert Band Rehearsal Notes Moday Dec 3

Hi all,
We will be having our dress rehearsal tomorrow night, Monday, Dec. 3rd at 6:30 pm at the West band room. The running order will be the actual concert program order which I am including below.
After the rehearsal, we will need to load some vehicles with percussion equipment so I would ask that all percussionists please stay to help with this at 8:30.
For Tuesday, the set up in the church (St Agnes on Mumford Road) is scheduled for 2 pm and we can use any help that people can provide if you are available at that time.
The concert itself is at 7 pm and I’ll ask members to arrive in the church hall for 6:15 for assembly and warm-up. Dress is formal concert black and members are asked to bring your own music stand.
