HCB Remembers David Poole

We are saddened to learn of the passing of David Poole, a valued member of the Halifax Concert Band until 2011, where he shared his talent on the baritone saxophone. Kathy Ross, a former horn section member and close friend of David, reflects on his journey with heartfelt memories. She shared that there will be no formal funeral, as his ashes will be scattered on the 5th green of the golf course he managed, in a small gathering of loved ones. Despite a successful heart bypass surgery earlier this year, David faced ongoing health challenges that diminished his strength. Kathy recalls her last visit with him on October 12th, just hours before his passing, expressing her profound sense of loss and the lasting impact David had on her life. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
