Hi all,
Thank you all very much for an excellent showing at our shared concert with the Halifax West bands last Tuesday night. We seem to continue to peak with our live performances!! Well done!
Here are the notes for our upcoming Tuesday rehearsal at 6:30 at the West.

Also, just so everyone is aware, we have been given a better performance time for our Kiwanis Music Festival concert on Tuesday evening, *May 2nd*. We will now be on at *7:30 pm* that night at *Seton Auditorium*. I will provide more details concerning that event as we get closer to the date.

Hi all, Our upcoming performance with the Halifax West HS Concert Bands is this coming Tuesday, March 28th at 7 pm in the Bella Rose Arts Centre at Halifax West. The West High School Concert Bands (Grade 10 and Senior) will begin the program and the HCB  will be on 3rd.
Our program list and order is: 1) Sarabande and Gavotte 2) Nightmare Before Christmas 3) Kirkpatrick’s Muse 4) Praeludium (Also please have Assorted Chorales on stage with you as a quick warm-up before we perform)
David Burtt has asked us to use the band room (not the Green Room) for our assembly/warm-up and I ask all members to arrive by no later than 6:30 pm for that. At 7 pm we will take our places in the theatre seating as audience members. Dress for the concert will be all- black with the HCB band shirts (or black top).

Here are the rehearsal notes for our March 21st rehearsal at 6:30 pm at the West band room. Please note that I am including Praeludium in the order of selections to be rehearsed and I plan to include that in the March 28th shared concert with the Halifax West Band.

Hi all,
Thanks so much to all of you for such a fine performance with the Celtic concert this past Sunday and my sincere gratitude for all of your musical skills and help with logistics for this annual concert at St. Patrick’s. Great job!! Our next rehearsal is on Tuesday, March 21st at our regular place and time.
Our next concert is March 28th at the Bella Rose Theatre at 7 pm with the Halifax West HS bands in a combined performance. The repertoire for our portion of the concert will be:  Kirkpatrick’s Muse, The Nightmare Before Christmas and the Sarabande and Gavotte movements from Grieg’s Holberg Suite.

There will be no Halifax Concert Band rehearsals for Mar 7 and Mar 14. The next rehearsal is March 21. Our next concert is March 28, which is a shared concert with the Halifax West Band.
