Hi all,
A big thanks to everyone who played in the Saturday fundraiser for the HMCS Sackville Trust down on the boardwalk. It went well (or as well as could be expected sometimes with the wind) and I know the HMCS Sackville people were all very pleased. Let’s do it again sometime!
Our rehearsal this Tuesday (October 1, 6:30 pm, Halifax West) will include a couple of Funny Book tunes (Abracadabra and Red Covered Bridge) so please bring that folder along with the regular one please.
1) Various Chorales 2) Warm-up Piece-Terry Fox 3) Spontaneous Combustion 4) Abracadabra 5) Red Covered Bridge 6) Spanish Masters-#1 and #2 7) Lincoln 8) Sea Songs
Thanks and see you Tuesday. Dave

Parkland Gardens Performance 2 pm Saturday, Oct. 19/2019
Here are the details for our upcoming performance this Saturday, October 19th, 2 pm at Parkland at the Gardens (5732 College Street)
The concert is in the Great Hall which is a shared space between the Parkland residence and All Saints Cathedral. Our entrance for performers is through a side door off Cathedral Lane at the back of the parking lot for All Saints Cathedral.
Our performance starts at 2 pm and so I am asking that all band members please arrive by 1:15 pm through the performers entrance. We do have a warm-up room for cases and coats which is just inside the entrance door to the right. Dress for the concert will be our HCB band shirts with black pants/skirts and black shoes. Also, please bring your own music stand for the performance.
Parking is limited to a few spaces around the church and on the streets surrounding Parkland. There is also a pay-and-display lot just to the west of Parkland which may be a good option if parking is hard to find.
For people involved in set-up prior to the concert, I would ask that you meet at the Great Hall at 1:00 pm to help with chair set-up and equipment moving and placement, etc.
Our program will be: 1. Three Chorales arr. Kent Steerwell #1 God of Sleep #2 Commit Thou, All Thy Ways #3 Onward, Christian Soldiers (dedicated to Betty Zwicker)
