The performance is in the church hall of St. Agnes Church on the corner of Chebucto Road and Mumford Road (6903 Mumford Rd, Halifax). Our portion of the proceedings will start at approximately 8:30 pm with band members being asked to assemble in the church hall for 7:45. Please bring your own music stand. Dress will be formal all black.

2019 HMCS Sackville Fundrasier 2pm Saturday, September 28th/2019 Boardwalk area by the Wave at the Maritime Museum
The HCB performance for the HMCS Sackville Fundraiser performance will run from 2 pm to 3:30 pm on Saturday, September 28th on the boardwalk area by the Wave which is located on the waterfront directly behind the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. The rain venue for this performance is in the Maritime Museum in the small craft room.
I would like everyone to please meet at the performance location by 1:15 pm on Saturday and give yourself ample time to find parking in the pay lots near the venue or on the streets surrounding the waterfront area. Also, anyone who can help with set-up of chairs, etc for the performance are asked to meet at the venue anytime after 1:00 pm.
There is a room provided in the museum for cases and coats and you will be directed to that area when you arrive at the Wave. If it is raining, please go directly into the museum and you will be directed to the performance area.
Also, please bring your own music folders, music stand and clothes pins to secure the music. Dress for the performance is the band shirts, black pants/skirt and black shoes/socks. If you don’t have a band shirt yet, please just wear all black.

HCB Rehearsal Notes Tue Oct 1

Hi all,
A big thanks to everyone who played in the Saturday fundraiser for the HMCS Sackville Trust down on the boardwalk. It went well (or as well as could be expected sometimes with the wind) and I know the HMCS Sackville people were all very pleased. Let’s do it again sometime!
Our rehearsal this Tuesday (October 1, 6:30 pm, Halifax West) will include a couple of Funny Book tunes (Abracadabra and Red Covered Bridge) so please bring that folder along with the regular one please.

Happy Thanksgiving! Here are the rehearsal notes for Tuesday Oct 15th plus a memo with details and program selections for the Parkland at the Gardens concert that we are performing this coming Saturday, Oct 19th.

Parkland Gardens Performance 2 pm Saturday, Oct. 19/2019
Here are the details for our upcoming performance this Saturday, October 19th, 2 pm at Parkland at the Gardens (5732 College Street)
The concert is in the Great Hall which is a shared space between the Parkland residence and All Saints Cathedral. Our entrance for performers is through a side door off Cathedral Lane at the back of the parking lot for All Saints Cathedral.
Our performance starts at 2 pm and so I am asking that all band members please arrive by 1:15 pm through the performers entrance. We do have a warm-up room for cases and coats which is just inside the entrance door to the right. Dress for the concert will be our HCB band shirts with black pants/skirts and black shoes. Also, please bring your own music stand for the performance.
Parking is limited to a few spaces around the church and on the streets surrounding Parkland. There is also a pay-and-display lot just to the west of Parkland which may be a good option if parking is hard to find.
For people involved in set-up prior to the concert, I would ask that you meet at the Great Hall at 1:00 pm to help with chair set-up and equipment moving and placement, etc.
